So there are two guys that I really like
and they both like me back.
and they both like me back.
We spent some time together walking, spent some time just talking about who we were. You held my hand so very tightly, and told me what we could be dreaming of. We spent some time together drinking, spent some time just thinking about days of joy. As our hearts started beating faster, I recalled your laughter from long ago. We spent some time together crying, spent some time just trying to let each other go. I held your hand so very tightly and told you what I would be dreaming of. There’s nothing like you and I, nothing like you and I…
I read because one life isn’t enough, and in the page of a book I can be anybody;
I read because the words that build the story become mine, to build my life;
I read not for happy endings but for new beginnings; I’m just beginning myself, and I wouldn’t mind a map;
I read because I have friends who don’t, and young though they are, they’re beginning to run out of material;
I read because every journey begins at the library, and it’s time for me to start packing;
I read because one of these days I’m going to get out of this town, and I’m going to go everywhere and meet everybody, and I want to be ready.
We placed 3rd in the English Month speech choir competitionin our school today. It was really unexpected, and me being the overall AND the musical director, I really couldn’t believe that we’ve won. There were 10 groups, and we placed third. THIRD. The first two were the cream sections (there are three). I mean, I can’t say that our presentation was bad, it was actually good. It’s just that, there were more groups better than ours. And by better, I mean, better costumes (most of them wore uniformed v-necks and all) and better voicing.
The ending part of our presentation involved the Philippine flag, and there was one in the culutral center and one in the AVR. We were supposed to use it but the other sections went ahead and got both first, and, naturally, they wouldn’t let us borrow it because, I quote, “it would be unfair,”. Whatever. It’s just borrowing, right? It’s not like we were going to present at the same time. I actually cried, because that was the most crucial part of our presentation - the flag. Nothing could be done, so Duke just suggested we take a red cloth and write KKK in the middle, making it a KKK flag.
But in the end, it all worked. The flag, the music (I honestly thought Bryce was gonna screw up!) and my groupmates did a fucking good job. I was the conductor, and I actually screwed half of my actions (good thing it wasn’t SO obvious) but it all worked. I swear, I almost had an heart attack when they announced the winners.
Idk, I’m just happy. I’m proud of everyone.
This is by far my favorite Chuck Palahniuk book. All the characters, the way it’s written…beautiful. It’s one of those books that’s both difficult to put down and easy to keep reading. Even though it seems clear what the story is really about, it constantly evolves into something else. It’s simultaneously funny, stomach-turning, trippy and overwhelming. I swear, Chuck Palahniuk is a fucking genius.
PS, if you read this, you’d better concentrate, because by the time you get to the end, that’s an important question lol.
Hi! I just got home from the Milo Olympics parade in CCSC. It was sooo hot when we had the parade, I was sweating all over and I had the urge to take all my clothes off in the middle of the street and flash everyone a fuck you sign but I didn’t because I have this thing called self-control. Then when we were about to go home it suddenly rained. The weather is so bipolar it’s making me sick. Anyway, that’s not the point. I’m making this collab ~*photography*~ blog with Kate, since my Dad’s starting to nag me about how I don’t even use the camera, etc. etc. so yeah. I told him about The Plan and he thought it was a great idea. I’ll post the link to the site as soon as I finish everything. This makes me so excited oh my goodness.
I saw this trailer the other day, surprised at how star studded this one is! Must be good!
Looks good!
